County Road 68 (CR 68) will be closed between Coit Road and Independence Parkway between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on Monday, April 22. During this closure, motorists can use Rolater Road or SH 121 as alternate routes. Detour signs will be posted.

The portion of Simpson Plaza directly in front of the George A. Purefoy Municipal Center will be closed Saturday, April 20, for a special event. The road will close at 6 a.m. and will reopen at 2 p.m.

During the closure, motorists will still be able to approach City Hall and the Public Library from all directions, but they will not be able to drive or park directly in front of the building (see attached map). Any motorist who circulates around Simpson Plaza will be diverted to circulate around the back of the building where they will have access to the free parking garage. ADA accessible parking is available on each level of the garage next to the elevator.

Frisco Square: Parking on the central streets within Frisco Square will be limited to 2 hours or less during the day. Signs have been installed along Coleman Boulevard, around Simpson Plaza, and adjacent to the George A. Purefoy Municipal Center which designate the parking restrictions. These signs are installed at intervals along the street so you may need to look to the left or right in order to see the parking restriction that applies to your parking space.

• Most of the parking around Simpson Plaza and adjacent to the Municipal Center will be limited to 2-hour parking between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. every day of the week.
• Most of the parking along Coleman Boulevard will be limited to 30-minute parking between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. every day of the week.

These on-street parking areas are intended for short-term use primarily by customers and visitors to Frisco Square. Residents and employees who need long-term parking can use the parking garages and parking lots behind the buildings. People visiting City Hall and/or the Public Library for longer than two hours can park in the free municipal parking garage behind the building.

These new parking restrictions are implemented according to City of Frisco Ordinance #18-05-21. Once people have become accustomed to the new signs, violation of the parking restrictions will be enforced with the issuance of parking tickets.

Stonebrook: Traffic patterns have been modified on West Stonebrook Parkway so that traffic can utilize the new pavement between Frisco Lakes Boulevard and Anthem Drive. Both directions of traffic have been sharing the south half of the road, but traffic has been switched today so that east and westbound traffic will flow on opposite sides of the median.

Roundabouts: The construction of the roundabout at Ohio Drive and Warren Parkway is complete. This includes opening the roads that have been closed for the past three months: Northbound Ohio Drive will reopen to traffic from Gaylord Parkway to the roundabout and both directions of Warren Parkway will reopen to traffic just east of the roundabout. Traffic will once again be able to travel continuously in both directions along Ohio Drive and Warren Parkway through the area.

The intersection of Ohio Drive and Warren Parkway will be a multi-lane roundabout similar to the one at John Hickman Parkway and Gaylord Parkway. All motorists entering the roundabout will need to yield to traffic in both circulating lanes approaching you from the left. Motorists who were accustomed to entering the partially-completed roundabout during construction should pay special attention to the fact that traffic will now be circulating around the entire roundabout. All motorists are urged to use caution at the intersection until people become accustomed to the new traffic patterns.
