Christmas Tree Lighting

On Friday, November 24, watch faces light up at 6:15 p.m. when the city lights a 34-foot Blue Spruce Christmas tree that will adorn the city’s square. The tree is funded by First United Bank, Texas Oncology and the contributions from families and businesses during the McKinney Christmas Tree – A Gift to the Community fund-raising campaign. The first 100 donors who contribute a minimum of $50 will receive a commemorative keepsake ornament.

The tree will serve as a beautiful backdrop for holiday photos and be a sight for the entire family to enjoy. Following the tree lighting, visitors can enjoy live entertainment by Emerald City Band.
