City spraying to kill mosquitoes Thursday in Plano TX to stop West Nile Virus

The City of Plano says it will be spraying to eliminate mosquitoes Thursday, Oct. 12

The City of Plano announced that a mosquito found in a trap in the 2800 block of Spring Creek Parkway tested positive for carrying the West Nile Virus.

Weather permitting, City of Plano Environmental Health Department crews will spray the area in the vicinity of the trap Thursday evening, Oct. 12.

The spraying will begin at 9 p.m. Residents are urged to ensure children and pets are indoors during spraying. Spraying will typically conclude around 4 a.m.

Spray Boundaries:
Jupiter Road, Plano Event Center to the West
Los Rios Boulevard to the North
Morton Vale Road to the East
Spring Creek Parkway to the South
