Troop 1066 presents the 9th-annual Spaghetti Dinner and Show at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 26. The talent showcase starts at 6:45 p.m. at 2700 Roundrock Trail in Plano. The event is the Scout’s Summer Camp and High Adventure fund-raiser.

Pass the word: Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille will open its doors at Stonebriar Centre in Frisco in November 2014. … State Highway 5 in Fairview has been re-opened to thru traffic between FM 2786 (Stacy Road) and FM 1378 (Country Club Road). Work on the project will be ongoing through May for completion of final project tasks. … In McKinney, TxDOT says the entrance to Craig Drive from the U.S. 75 frontage road (north of Eldorado Pkwy.) is expected to remain closed through Wednesday, April 30, while the intersection and new ramp to Eldorado Parkway are completed.

The Dallas Cowboys signed Pro Bowl defensive end Anthony Spencer to a one-year deal, according to agent Jordan Woy. Last year, Spencer missed all of training camp, plus 15 of 16 games with a leg injury. The Cowboys say he underwent microfracture knee surgery and has been rehabilitating the leg in Dallas during the off-season. Dallas has lost DeMarcus Ware and Jason Hatcher to free agency.

McKinney Performing Arts Center and the Arts and Music Guild present the opening of the Juried Art Show Saturday, May 3.
