Plano ISD rolling out new academy programs

This year marks the launch of exciting new choices for Plano ISD students with the opening of the Academy Programs of Plano.

Three distinct new academies will debut this fall — Plano ISD Health Sciences Academy, Plano ISD Academy High School and IB World School at Plano East.

The Plano ISD Health Sciences Academy is an exciting choice for students interested in pursuing careers and further education in healthcare. Opportunities include college credit, technical certificates, hands-on experience and mentorship from healthcare professionals. The academy offers a rigorous academic program that prepares students for the demands of a four-year university or pre-med program and gives them the tools needed to enter the workforce after graduation. With an emphasis on science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM), student learning will focus on real-world experiences and problems with an interdisciplinary curriculum as they collaborate with others both inside and outside of school. IB World School at Plano East:
IB Program Graduates
