KXII: Anna police confiscate five pounds of meth

KXII Fox News Texoma is reporting that Anna Police confiscated five pounds of meth from three men who police say were delivering the drugs from Fort Worth to Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Sgt. Jeff Caponera says an officer stopped a vehicle driving northbound on 75 near Mantua Road.

Anna (Texas) Police reported that when police searched the vehicle, the driver from Whitewright, Texas,  took off running.

When police caught up with him, they found half a pound of meth on him, half a pound on one passenger, and several pounds on another passenger.

KXII reports that two men have bonded out of jail. The third remains jailed in the Collin County.

Caponera says police believe one of the men was going to sell meth in Van Alstyne, Texas, just north of Anna and Melissa, Texas.
