Going back to class? McKinney Chamber education panel of local school, college leaders hopes to answer your questions

McKinney ISD and area school districts and colleges are about to open.

To answer questions about what school will be like, the McKinney Chamber of Commerce is hosting a panel of North Texas educators and leaders to help answer those questions. The education panel includes:

  • Dr. Rick McDaniel, Superintendent of the McKinney ISD
  • Dr. Mark Smith, Vice President/Provost of Collin College
  • Missy Bender, Regional Advocacy Director of Raise Your Hand Texas

The McKinney Chamber will host the panel – virtually – at July Quarterly Luncheon on July 28.

Lisa Hermes, the President and CEO of the McKinney Chamber of Commerce, said, “The way our children are being educated is clearly in flux right now. Whether it’s in person, virtually, or some hybrid – parents, students, and teachers alike have questions. We’re hoping we can provide some insight and maybe even some clarity to those who have questions during this discussion.”

The discussion and Quarterly Meeting will be held on Zoom between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 28.
