Love books? Love bargains even more? The 28th Annual Friends of the Plano Public Library Book Sale is scheduled for July 21-23, 2011 and will transform the Plano Centre, 2000 E. Spring Creek Parkway, into a bargain-hunting, book lover’s paradise.

Known as one of the largest book sales in the region, the Friends’ sale will feature more than 100,000 gently-used hardbacks, paperbacks, DVDs and CDs, all priced at $2 or less.

Mark your calendar for Thursday’s “First Nighter Sale” on July 21 from 6 to 10 p.m. for the best choice of books. Admission for this night only is $5 for individuals, $10 for families, and free for Friends members. Free admission on Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. allows for leisurely shopping for the whole family. All proceeds are used to fund materials and programs at the five Plano libraries, so shoppers can shop ‘til they drop knowing they are benefitting the Plano community.
