She has been spotted meeting with local leaders in Allen, Frisco, McKinney and Plano, and she will be working her way around until the next election day as she runs for Texas State Senate.

Congressman Sam Johnson and Angela Paxton

Congressman Sam Johnson: “As a long time and dedicated member of our community, Angela Paxton has never backed away from championing the conservative cause with grace and courage. A fierce and proven warrior for the values that we hold dear – faith, freedom, and family – I am honored to call Angela a true friend, a sister in Christ, and an asset to the community.”

Angela Paxton said: “I don’t know anyone who has personally sacrificed more to protect our freedoms than Sam Johnson. Like so many, I’m honored to know and respect this great man. But to be known so kindly in return is a treasure hard to express. Thank you, Congressman Sam Johnson, for your service and for your confidence in me.”

Matt Shaheen serves as District 66 representative in the State House of Representatives

Texas State Rep. Matt Shaheen of Plano announced today that he won’t be running against Phillip Huffines in the Republican Primary race for State Senate in District 8.

Shaheen said: “After much prayer, counsel and reflection on the Special Session, I have decided to seek another term in the Texas House of Representatives serving the citizens of House District 66. It is clear that the battle for the future of a better Texas lies in the House of Representatives, and I belong in that fight.”

Phillip Huffines is running for Texas Senate in Republican Primary

Phillip Huffines said: “Matt Shaheen is a principled conservative and a true patriot. The constituents of House District 66 are fortunate to have him serve as their representative in the Texas House.
