By Brian Bearden

The Nov. 7 Evening of Hope Gala in Plano’s Hilton Granite Park will benefit Hope’s Door.

This fall the Heroes of Hope Award will recognize Glenn and Tania Beck and his foundation – Mercury One, Inc.

In 2014, the Becks served as honorary chairs. That Evening of Hope Gala raised $400,000.

What is this about? An Evening of Hope is the annual gala benefiting Hope’s Door, a comprehensive domestic violence agency serving North Texas.Hope’s Door is dedicated to providing intervention and prevention services to individual and families affected by domestic violence.

Last year, Hope’s Door provided emergency shelter to 350 women and children, transitional housing to 18 families, legal advocacy to 247 people and counseling services to 661 clients. Hope’s Door answered 2,888 hotline calls, a 34 percent increase over 2013.
