Let’s look again at one of our favorite behind-the-scenes looks into the Allen Event Center before a hockey game between the Allen Americans and Wheeling Nailers in the 2016 Kelly Cup.

The Allen Americans play at Wichita on Friday night, then the Americans return for a Saturday night game in Allen against the Wichita Thunder. Next up is a 4 p.m. Sunday face off against the Tulsa Oilers.

The Allen Event Center and Allen Arts Alliance, in partnership with the Village at Allen, proudly present “Chalk the Walk!”

This sidewalk art event is open to all ages.  Come chalk up the West Grande Plaza of Allen Event Center before the Allen Americans ice hockey game. Afterward, cheer on the Allen Americans with discount ticket packages available as part of your registration.

When: 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 29

Chalk and supplies will be provided for each space. Additional chalk will be available for purchase.

Chalk Art Spot with Allen Americans Hockey Tickets:

  • Individual participant (Kid to Adult) $30 – Chalk Spot & Defensive Terrace Ticket (per person)
  • Individual participant with Premium Level ticket (Kid to Adult) $45 – Chalk Spot & Premium Level Game Ticket w/Premium Level Dinner (per person)
  • (Family / Team Spot) $75 – Chalk Spot & Three Defensive Terrace Game Tickets
  • (Premium Family / Team Spot) $110 – Chalk Spot & Three Premium Level Game Tickets w/Premium Level Dinner for each

All chalk participants may purchase additional Americans game tickets for $12 each in Defensive Terrace & $25 each in the Premium Level w/dinner (must be completed upon registration– cannot be purchased at box office)

Little Artist- 10 & Under
Student Artist- 11-18 Years of Age
AISD Student Artist- (7th-12th grader enrolled in Art at an Allen School)
Amateur- Judges Pick (solo artist over 18)
Family- Best Family Collaboration

All Chalk the Walk registrations include a chalk space and supplies appropriate to artist level. Family/Team spaces will receive additional supplies.  Chalk spaces are asymmetrical and will be assigned on a first-come-first-served basis.

Kid chalk is washable and non-toxic.  This is a family-friendly event, all artwork should reflect a family-friendly atmosphere.

Any artwork that is deemed inappropriate will be removed.

An artwork mockup pre-submittal is required for Amateur and AISD student categories to be considered for judging.
The Allen Event Center at 200 E. Stacy Road 75002 off U.S. 75 is home to the 2009/2010 CHL Southern Conference Champion Allen Americans, as well as the new Indoor Football League Allen Wranglers and the Tom Thumb Texas Stampede, and much more …
