We are thrilled to recognize eleven exceptional deputies from the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office who have earned their SBLE Master Certification through the 2025 SBLE Master Series.
This significant achievement reflects their dedication to professional growth and their commitment to enhancing school safety.
These deputies completed 128 hours of advanced training in the School-Based Law Enforcement Master Training Program, which is offered in partnership with the Texas State University School Safety Institute.
Specialized Training for School Safety
The SBLE Master Program equips law enforcement officers with specialized skills needed to maintain safety in school settings. The curriculum covers critical areas such as crisis management, legal guidance, and effective communication.
These areas of training help officers improve school safety, while also fostering positive relationships with students, faculty, and staff. This professional development is vital for building safe, supportive school environments.
