A Texas man, David Michael Gibson, has pleaded guilty to tampering with evidence after his father’s body was discovered in a refrigerator in his home.
David, 49, was sentenced to 10 years in prison after authorities found the body of his father, Daniel Gibson, in a “badly decomposed” state inside a fridge in the garage. Despite the gruesome discovery, an autopsy couldn’t determine the cause of death.

In August 2024, Bexar County deputies were called for a welfare check at a residence in the 7500 block of Rustic Trail. When they arrived, a man, later identified as David Gibson, initially claimed to be the person they were looking for.
