A 17-year-old girl from Georgia, Sarah Patrick, has been charged with murder after allegedly killing her mother and stepfather. The couple was found shot dead inside their home in February, and Patrick is facing charges as an adult.
Authorities claim that after their deaths, she made multiple TikTok posts about the couple, which has raised suspicions about her involvement in the crime.
A Series of TikTok Posts Following the Tragedy
Sarah Patrick reportedly posted a series of TikToks after the deaths of her mother, Kristin Brock, and stepfather, James Brock. In one video shared on June 30, Patrick captioned the video with, “Take me back to the beach rn,” alongside a clip showing her at the beach.
At the time, she had already been in touch with police, but her arrest came on July 8, when she was charged with the murders.
In another post from May 17, Patrick wrote, “If you asked me about my mom and step dad, I’d say I miss them so much.” However, she also expressed deep confusion and distress, saying, “I feel so homesick and I miss them so much.
I feel like I’m in a horror movie that never ends.” She continued, asking, “Why them? Why that? Just why. How could they?” This post had a caption that read, “Should prob delete later.”
The Tragic Discovery and the 911 Call
The incident began on February 20 when Sarah Patrick’s 6-year-old sister found the bodies of their parents. The younger child was unaware of the tragedy at first and reportedly went to Sarah, who made the 911 call.
Authorities arrived at the scene to find Kristin and James Brock dead from multiple gunshot wounds. Sarah Patrick was at the home when the bodies were found.
Patrick’s Arrest and the Investigation
After the killings, Sarah Patrick made further posts on social media, expressing how her life had been changed by the tragedy. In a video from March 1, she wrote, “They don’t know it but a year from now me and my 5-year-old sister would find them wrongfully shot dead in our home and won’t get to watch me graduate high school.”
She also mentioned how she would miss her parents at significant moments in her life, such as graduating or getting married.
Patrick was eventually turned over to the police by her biological father, Doniel Patrick, who had posted a message on Facebook about always being in his daughter’s corner.
Authorities have confirmed that Patrick is charged with two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated assault. The investigation is still ongoing, and law enforcement has hinted that others may be involved in the crime as well.
A Family’s Heartbreaking Loss
The murder of Kristin and James Brock has left their family and community devastated. Ashley Hulsey, a spokesperson for the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, described the situation as tragic for everyone involved, particularly Sarah’s younger sister, who found the bodies and has been affected by the crime.
The investigation continues, with police looking into the possibility that other individuals might have been involved.
