A shocking incident at a GameStop store in Colma, California, turned violent over a Pokemon card purchase, leaving one man seriously injured. Two suspects, 27-year-old Isaiah Calles and 49-year-old Miguel Orellanas Flores, are now behind bars after allegedly attacking another man while waiting in line.

The altercation escalated quickly, resulting in life-threatening injuries for the victim.

The Incident

The events unfolded on a Saturday morning at 9:22 a.m. when Colma police received reports of a physical altercation at a local GameStop. Officers arrived at the scene to find a man suffering from severe injuries, including multiple stab wounds and head lacerations.

The victim was immediately taken to the hospital, where he was later reported to be in stable condition.

Witnesses said the altercation began when Flores allegedly attempted to cut in line while waiting to buy Pokemon cards. The situation quickly escalated into a verbal argument between Flores and the victim.

As tensions rose, Flores allegedly picked up a mason jar and struck the victim on the head. At that point, Calles is said to have joined in, stabbing the victim multiple times with the broken glass.

The Attack and Escalation

Witnesses reported that after the brutal attack, both Flores and Calles left the scene separately in their cars. They took photos of the vehicles, which included the license plates, and police were able to use this information to track down the suspects.

The altercation, which initially appeared to be a minor disagreement, turned into a violent assault over a simple dispute while waiting in line for Pokemon cards.

The Arrest and Charges

Both Flores and Calles were arrested and charged with a variety of serious offenses. These include conspiracy to commit a crime, battery with serious bodily injury, assault with a deadly weapon, and assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury.

Additionally, both men face an allegation of inflicting great bodily injury during the attack. The two are being held on a $250,000 bond at the Maguire Correctional Facility.

The Victim’s Condition

Although the victim’s injuries were life-threatening at the time of the attack, he was eventually brought to the hospital in stable condition. The severity of the injuries underscores the dangerous escalation of what was initially just an argument over waiting in line.

What began as a seemingly harmless disagreement in line at a GameStop store over Pokemon cards turned into a violent confrontation, leaving one man seriously injured. With both suspects now behind bars, the case serves as a reminder of how quickly tempers can flare, and how a simple argument can escalate into serious violence.
