A 26-year-old Florida man, Christian Jesus Arias Acosta, is behind bars after allegedly sending a series of threatening voice messages to his ex-girlfriend, including violent threats to kill her.

The disturbing messages, which came after the two ended their five-month relationship, have led to charges of domestic violence and written threats to kill or inflict bodily injury.

The Threats and Victim’s Response

According to the Miami Police Department, the victim broke up with Arias Acosta, but the man reportedly could not accept the rejection. On June 6, the woman contacted the police after receiving a series of increasingly violent and graphic threats from her ex.

In one of the messages, she begged him to stop, asking, “And if I don’t let you see me, you won’t stop bothering me?” to which he allegedly responded, “No, never – until you die.”

As the threats escalated, the messages became more graphic and chilling. One of the messages reportedly said, “I am going to explain to you how I will decapitate you and hang your head on the balcony of your house.”

The Arrest and Confession

The victim was able to provide law enforcement with recordings of the threats, which helped police build their case. On the morning of the arrest, the victim shared Arias Acosta’s location with the police, which led to his arrest at Power Gym in Little Havana, Miami.

The man was taken into custody without incident and transported to the police headquarters. During his interview, Arias Acosta allegedly confessed to making the threats but did not fully elaborate on his intentions.

A History of Domestic Violence

Court records show that Arias Acosta has a troubling history, including previous charges related to domestic violence. In 2022, he faced a charge of aggravated stalking, and in February of this year, he was charged with domestic battery. This recent arrest marks another chapter in his history of violent behavior.

Current Legal Status

Arias Acosta is currently being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $7,500 bond. He has been assigned a public defender for his case. The charges against him include one count of written threat to kill or inflict bodily injury, with domestic violence being a factor in the case.

The arrest of Christian Jesus Arias Acosta serves as a reminder of the danger posed by individuals who cannot accept the end of a relationship. His threats were not only disturbing but also illegal, and he now faces serious consequences for his actions.

As the case moves through the legal system, it highlights the importance of taking threats seriously and ensuring victims receive the support they need to stay safe.
