Governor Greg Abbott has announced that Pasadena has officially received the Music Friendly Texas Certified Community designation from the Texas Music Office (TMO). This recognition highlights Pasadena’s growing role in supporting the state’s vibrant music industry and its economic potential.

The Music Friendly Texas program, launched by TMO in 2016, aims to foster economic growth and job creation within the music sector. With this designation, Pasadena joins a growing list of cities in Texas dedicated to building a supportive environment for music-related businesses and talent.

Texas is home to a thriving music industry, which supports 196,000 jobs and contributes over $31 billion to the state’s economy each year.
