A knife was taken from a pupil at Van Alstyne Junior High on Wednesday.
According to Van Alstyne ISD, school personnel acted quickly and confiscated the knife without incident.
“At no time were any kids or staff in risk. Van Alstyne ISD issued a statement reassuring the community that all students and staff are safe, and that appropriate disciplinary action is being implemented in accordance with district policy.
