Some of the houses that will be available at a new community in fast-growing Celina were unveiled only last week, when developer Rockhill Capital & Investments announced the launch of The Heights at Uptown Celina.
The initial phase of development, which includes 236 of the 380 houses planned for the community, will be the fourth to be built on the 675-acre Uptown Celina site.
Celina, along with Melissa and Anna, is one of the North Texas “Sister Cities” with Collin County city limits. The town has evolved from a small settlement of roughly 8,000 people in 2015 to a rapidly expanding suburb of just under 65,000 at the start of this year.
Rockhill Capital & Investments hopes to support additional growth with the addition of The Heights. The project is located north of Highway 380, directly near to downtown Celina. A trail constructed for walkers and golf carts connects the community to the city center, providing residents with “backyard” access to downtown.
There are also plans for a community pool and leisure center.
“This grand opening is one of the most anticipated moments at the Uptown Celina development because The Heights epitomizes our entire vision for residents: a connected, walkable community,” Rockhill Capital & Investments managing partner Ryan Griffin stated in a press statement.
“Seeing a community come to life where residents can enjoy and support the shops, restaurants, and activities at the heart of the city is a great feeling,” according to him.
Celina was recently ranked No. 2 in housing affordability among all D-FW suburbs by the real estate listing website Zoocasa, and if that isn’t enough to spark your interest in the city, H-E-B will be opening soon.
Three builders are responsible for the residences at The Height in Uptown Celina. Normandy Homes is offering six two-story designs ranging from 2,290 to 3,005 square feet, with starting pricing in the low $400,000s.
Olivia Clarke Homes offers five one- and two-story layouts ranging from 1,900 to 3,200 square feet, starting in the low $500,000s. Perry Homes is creating one- and two-story homes ranging in size from 1,500 to 3,000 square feet, with prices starting in the top $500,000s.
