A new Customs and Border Protection (CBP) building was opened at McKinney National Airport (TKI) in Dallas, Texas.

According to Airport Director Ken Carley, the new building will boost operational efficiency and security while better preparing to handle rising levels of foreign travel. International arrivals at the airport have risen by more than 40% in the last two years.

It increased from 127 arrivals in 2023 to a projected 180 arrivals by the end of 2025.

“This is more than just a building; it’s a gateway to opportunity,” Mayor Bill Cox stated. “The new customs facility gives McKinney National Airport the capacity and credibility to attract more international travelers and corporate aviation, which drives local business growth and investment.”

The CBP facility includes a private inspection area for faster processing. Secure entry infrastructure and CBP officer collaboration should simplify operations and improve international aircraft turnaround times.
