Greta Canfield developed the Imperfect Yet Do What You Can (IYDWUC) Conference to empower women with a compelling message of faith and self-worth, and it recently celebrated its 14th year.
Canfield, who organized the seminar based on her own life experiences, expressed her compassion for women who frequently feel excluded or “not good enough.”
“I am an advocate for women who feel left out, because of my background and my growing up,” she told me. “I feel compassion for women who believe they are unworthy. And I think because I can identify to it, I want women to know they are good enough; they are God’s children.”
The annual meeting is intended to teach women that genuine value lies not in earthly possessions, but in God’s mercy, which Canfield claims is always sufficient. Through the Imperfect Conference, she continues to empower women to accept their worth and walk fearlessly in their faith.
IYDWUC is a women’s outreach group in the greater Dallas, Texas area that brings together women (and men) from all walks of life who love God and want to encourage one another to do their best.
The IYDWUC 2025 scholarship awardees include Jasmine Simpson, Kamala Ragoobir, and Mechelle McAlister-Ware. Jennifer Henderson, President and CEO of the Bakari Foundation, served as the event’s keynote speaker.
The Bakari Foundation offers transformative travel experiences for families who have lost loved ones at the hands of others, as well as youth empowerment to help revitalize troubled communities.
