On Sunday, a big memorial service was conducted in Arizona for conservative leader Charlie Kirk, and many more people gathered in Texas to mourn his death.
Grayson County conducted its own memorial at the Sherman courthouse, and many people came to pay their respects to Kirk.
Speakers from all throughout Grayson County told their stories about how Kirk changed their lives and how they want to continue on his legacy.
“This outpouring of unity behind Charlie, what he believed, and to support each other, this is not like other reactions we’ve seen to violence in the past,” said Brent Lawson, President Chairman of the Grayson County Republican Party. “This is people coming together in peace.”
The vigil ended with praise songs in honor of Kirk.
