As the summer winds down in Dallas, one of the city’s landmarks has returned to its rightful position.
On Friday morning, Big Tex ascended 55 feet into the air on the appropriately named Big Tex Circle in the middle of Fair Park.
Wearing a Dickies suit, a 95-gallon hat, and size 96 Lucchese boots, the gargantuan Texan will greet visitors at the State Fair with a pleasant “howdy, folks” and informative pronouncements.
The Texas State Fair opens on Friday, September 26. It runs till October 19.
