Victoria West has won its first three games of the season, defeating Lockhart (54-6), East (32-29), and San Antonio Sam Houston (39-0) at home last week.
This season, quarterback Nolan Boyce has found solid weapons in Aiden Deleon and Kage Hradek, which has helped the Warriors’ offense.
Jenesis Jeffries and Brodie Flores have taken turns leading the Warriors’ rushing attack. The combination has been devastating, averaging more than 100 rushing yards per game.
The Trojans are now 1-2 overall and won their first game last week, 35-6 over Ingleside. Quarterback Tyler Lang has five touchdown passes this season and will aim to connect with top receiver Davyn Perez, who averages 93.3 yards per game.
On defense, Jacob Freeman hopes to shut down the Trojan offense this Friday. Last week, he had 15 tackles, two for loss, one sack, and one forced fumble.
Freeman and the Warriors hope to improve to 4-0 when they begin district action next week at home against San Antonio McCollum.
