Jasper, Texas – The last suspect to plead guilty in connection with the 2023 after-party prom shooting has done so, accepting a seven-year probation sentence.
Tracy Hickman was one of four men indicted in the April 23, 2023, shooting that injured nine teenagers aged 15 to 19. The incident happened at a prom afterparty on CR 263 north of Jasper and was thought to be the consequence of a “ongoing feud,” according to officials.
On Tuesday, Hickman pled guilty to two charges of deadly conduct. The charge of engaging in organized criminal activities was dismissed.
Tyler Porter pleaded guilty and received a five-year deferred adjudication on June 17. Cheston Hartsfield pleaded guilty to a five-year deferred adjudication on June 3. Cameron Hartsfield pleaded guilty in October and received an eight-year sentence.
