A shocking case out of Louisiana has drawn attention after police say a nursing home worker ran over her co-worker with an SUV, retrieved a broken car part, and then walked inside to begin her shift as if nothing had happened.
The Incident
According to the Slidell Police Department, 67-year-old Lillian Sellers struck a female co-worker in the parking lot of the Greenbriar Community Care Center late Sunday night. Surveillance footage allegedly shows Sellers reversing her SUV “violently” and “recklessly” into the woman, who was left critically injured on the ground.
Instead of calling for help, Sellers is accused of stepping out of her vehicle, picking up a broken piece of her bumper, and then walking into the building to start work.
Discovery of the Injuries
Paramedics were first dispatched to the parking lot around 11 p.m. after reports of a woman who had supposedly “fallen.” She was rushed to the hospital, but medical staff quickly determined her injuries were not consistent with a simple fall. Instead, they believed she had been struck by a vehicle and contacted police.
Surveillance Video Tells the Truth
When officers arrived, nursing home staff showed them the security footage. The video reportedly revealed Sellers backing her SUV into the victim before calmly collecting car parts and entering the nursing home.
Once inside, Sellers allegedly told colleagues that “a woman fell in the parking lot,” leading them outside to help the injured co-worker without knowing what had really happened.
Police Investigation
When confronted by investigators, Sellers allegedly shrugged and gave no explanation for her actions. Witnesses also told police that she had been driving erratically in the lot that evening.
Police said they did not believe the act was intentional but accused Sellers of trying to “cover her tracks” by removing evidence and misleading others about the cause of the injuries.

Hit-and-run driving causing serious bodily injury
Negligent injuring
Obstruction of justice by tampering with evidence
She is being held at the St. Tammany Parish Jail with no bond set.
