Collin College needs a trustee to fill the Place 1 vacancy

The Collin College Board of Trustees authorized Megan Wallace’s resignation on September 23.

Wallace resigned from the board on September 4 owing to a move. She served in Place 1 and was elected in May 2023.

“The Board of Trustees plays a vital role in our college community, serving residents and providing strategic oversight for the institution’s long-term success,” said Jay Saad, Collin campus board chairman.

“Filling this vacancy is an important responsibility, and we are committed to finding a dedicated individual who will help us continue to uphold our mission of student success.”

Applications for the Place 1 seat opened on September 15 and close on Friday, October 24. You may find information about applications here.

The selected individual will be appointed to serve until the board’s next regular election in May 2027.

The elected individual would serve the remainder of the Place 1 term, which ends in May 2029. Collin College has no term limit.
