Hundreds of millions of dollars are being allocated to Addison Airport for safety enhancements.
The government Aviation Administration will get $763,000 in government financing to rehabilitate 1,800 feet of service road leading to some of the hangars.
The current non-public route leading to airport hangars has reached the end of its functional life.
“We are grateful to the FAA for this important investment in Addison Airport,” Addison Airport Director Jaime Edrosa stated.
“Reconstructing the service road and a Taxilane connector will enhance safety, improve access for tenants and visitors, and ensure our airport continues to serve as a vital gateway for North Texas.”
The money comes from the FAA-supported Texas State Block Grant Program.
