Home sales have slowed in many locations across the country, but some are defying the trend and selling properties faster than they did before the pandemic.
In North Texas, properties in ZIP code 75093, which includes part of Plano, sold the fastest in the second quarter, with an average of 49 days on the market. That was down 16 days from the previous quarter, two days from the same period last year, and 18 days from the pre-pandemic era.
That’s according to a Business Journals analysis of the country’s hottest property markets in the second quarter, which used Intercontinental Exchange listing and sales data.
The weighted formula used in the ranking emphasizes sales and pricing momentum in each ZIP code. Only ZIP codes with comprehensive data were included in the analysis, and ZIP codes had to have an average sale price of at least $422,800 and 10 listings sold in the quarter to be eligible.
