When this project originally made headlines in 2021, it was the tallest residential tower in Uptown Dallas. Developed by Hines and designed by Houston-based firm Muñoz + Albin, the skyscraper climbed 39 floors over Victory Park and offered 364 units, including 18 penthouses.

Construction photographs from March 2020 show the tower mid-rise, cranes in position, and the orange-clad upper levels just taking shape.

The Victor was finished in 2021 for a cost of around $150 million. It spans approximately 875,000 square feet and comprises apartments ranging from tiny 538-square-foot layouts to penthouses that exceed 3,000 square feet.

The tower’s features include a 36th-floor sky deck, a ninth-floor pool, and an extensive amenities package, which set a new standard for Uptown living when it first opened.

The 2020 development photographs now serve as a historical record of how rapidly the Victory Park skyline has changed. What was once a busy building site is now one of the city’s most visible residential skyscrapers.

The tower is located at 3039 Nowitzki Way in Victory Park, a short walk from the American Airlines Center and the Katy Trail. Its central position gives residents easy access to restaurants, entertainment, and downtown Dallas.

Reviews emphasize the ease of this location, however some homeowners complain that the same proximity brings noise from Victory Park events and heavy traffic. Living in the heart of Uptown involves a trade-off between accessibility and tranquility.

Today, the tower has a 4.6-star rating on Google based on more than 200 reviews. Residents often appreciate the spectacular skyline views, luxurious finishes, and comprehensive amenities, which include a pool, sky lounge, and fitness center. Staff professionalism and attentiveness are also noted as strengths.

The most common criticisms center on expense. Rent and fees place the building at the upper end of the Dallas market, and some residents believe the pricing does not always meet expectations.

Another reoccurring concern is parking, particularly the restricted number of guest spaces. According to reviews, recurring issues include management communication challenges and noise from surrounding activities.

Despite these compromises, most evaluations conclude that the skyscraper fulfills its promise as a modern luxury high-rise. Several years after its completion, it remains one of Dallas’ most desired residential addresses.
