Yesterday, the Lewisville Police Department went to social media to provide an update on the city’s crime statistics and law enforcement actions for August 2025.
The report, which was shared on their Facebook page, featured a variety of indicators, including calls for service, particular crime incidents, and traffic data.
Throughout the month, the agency responded to 7,497 service calls.
These included 174 crimes against persons and 311 crimes against property.
Officers pulled over 1,258 vehicles in an effort to enforce traffic laws.
These efforts resulted in a total of 912 citations and 820 warnings.
Looking to the darker side of the road, there were 47 occurrences of driving while intoxicated and 316 vehicle crashes, 121 of which resulted in injury.
The report also included arrests made in August. A total of 352 arrests were made, covering a wide range of charges. These statistics are part of the department’s initiative to preserve transparency with Lewisville citizens and provide insight into police operations in the city.
The post did not give comparable information from past months or trends, but instead presented the data as a solo report card for August 2025.
