The Salvation Army of Victoria’s Love Beyond supper was a major fundraiser.

The Salvation Army received more than $52,000 from the banquet held on September 2 at Victoria College’s Emerging Technology Complex.

That’s more than 16% higher than last year.

More than 250 people attended the banquet.

The Salvation Army of Victoria’s needs, however, continue to expand.

There is very little food in the pantry, and several products from the Golden Crescent Food Bank are no longer available.

The Salvation Army serves 3,200 meals each month.

The Salvation Army men’s shelter had a capacity of 126% per night in August.

Kenny Jones, Commanding Officer of the Salvation Army of Victoria, stated, “Our initiatives are expanding.

We are doing more and more because we wish to help the community.

But that means we need to raise even more money.”

Captain Kenny invites the public to enjoy a tour of the Salvation Army of Victoria, located at 1302 N. Louis St.
