Gears and Careers will be held Oct. 2 from 5-7 p.m. at the Marriott Dallas Allen Hotel & Convention Center, 777 Watters Creek Blvd.
Allen Economic Development Corporation, Allen ISD, and the Allen-Fairview Chamber of Commerce collaborated to organize the event.
Gears and Careers, which coincides with National Manufacturing Day, focuses on the diverse sectors offered by Allen ISD’s Career and Technical Education programs. The event aims to assist kids in exploring potential career options while also fostering meaningful connections between schools, employers, and the larger community.
While centered in manufacturing, the event highlights several career disciplines offered by Allen ISD’s CTE programs, including:
