A highly decorated Arkansas police officer, known nationwide for his viral community outreach videos, has been arrested on domestic battery charges following an alleged altercation with his wife.
Officer Tommy Norman, a 27-year veteran of the North Little Rock Police Department and a social media figure with more than 5 million followers, was booked over the weekend after his wife accused him of hitting her during a late-night dispute.
What Happened That Night
According to the arrest report obtained by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, police were called to a Pulaski County home just before midnight on Saturday. Rosalynd Norman told officers that her husband struck her on the right side of her chest with the back of his hand during a heated argument.
Responding officers reported observing a visible injury consistent with her account. Norman, however, claimed that he was acting in self-defense, saying his wife had begun slapping him and that he only made contact while trying to stop her.
Despite his statement, he was arrested, charged with domestic battery, and taken to the Pulaski County Jail.
Administrative Leave and Ongoing Investigation
The North Little Rock Police Department confirmed the arrest and said Norman is currently on administrative leave while the case goes through the courts and an internal review is conducted. His next court date is scheduled for November 6.

An alleged administrator for Norman’s popular social media accounts released a message on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and X, asking the public to withhold judgment until investigations are complete.
