A shocking case out of Camden County, New Jersey, has led to the arrest of a father, mother, and son accused of playing different roles in the brutal killing and cover-up of a 48-year-old man. Authorities say the family conspired to dismember the victim’s body and hide evidence after the murder.
Who Are the Suspects?
Everton Thomas, 41 – Charged with first-degree murder, desecration of human remains, and tampering with physical evidence.
Sherrie Parker, 41 – Charged with desecration of human remains and tampering with evidence.

The Timeline of Events
June 12: Miller was last seen entering a Camden residence on Baird Boulevard where Everton Thomas lived. Surveillance video recorded what sounded like a gunshot shortly after. Miller was never seen leaving.
June 14: Miller’s car was found abandoned in Pennsauken. The same day, he was reported missing.
After June 12: Investigators say Sherrie Parker and Deshawn Thomas purchased a chainsaw, trash bags, containers, and cleaning supplies. Surveillance also allegedly showed Everton and Deshawn making trips to apartment dumpsters with bags and containers.
June 20: Police searched the home, finding bloodstains and a loaded firearm. Forensic testing later confirmed the blood belonged to Miller.
June 21: Before being charged, Everton fled the U.S. to Canada.
Sept. 5: All three were formally charged.
Sept. 8: Everton was arrested while crossing back into the U.S. on a bus from Canada. Sherrie and Deshawn were also arrested the same day by a fugitive task force.
