Police arrested 38-year-old Frank Bright on charges of second-degree murder after his wife, 43-year-old Aimee Takaki-Bright, was found dead on September 4. During his court appearance on Tuesday, Bright’s bail was set at $1 million.
How Police Discovered the Crime
Authorities said the couple’s landlord raised the alarm after noticing the front door left open and receiving no response from the tenants. When officers entered the home, they found the house in disarray with both vehicles still in the driveway. Inside, they discovered Aimee’s body with severe injuries to her face, neck, and head.
According to investigators, the wounds matched both blunt force trauma and cuts from a bladed weapon. A black tomahawk was recovered at the scene, stained with blood confirmed to be Aimee’s.
