A 39-year-old woman from Pennsylvania is facing serious criminal charges after allegedly threatening to kill her boyfriend and his family, then nearly stabbing him to death with a kitchen knife.

Christina A. Morris was arrested this week and is now charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and several other offenses following the brutal incident in a trailer home in Cumberland Township.

Bloodied Victim Found After 911 Call

Police responded to a 911 call around 9:50 p.m. on Monday from a man who claimed his girlfriend had stabbed him. When officers arrived at the trailer on Walker Avenue, they saw a violent struggle through the kitchen window between the victim and the suspect.

According to the police affidavit, once officers knocked on the door, the victim — who was visibly covered in blood — opened it. Morris allegedly ran toward the back of the trailer and tried to hide.

Suspect Found Hiding Under Blankets

During a search of the residence, officers found Morris hiding beneath a pile of blankets in the back bedroom. She was taken into custody and placed in a patrol car while police interviewed the victim.

The victim told officers he was watching TV when Morris suddenly confronted him, shouting that she was going to kill him and his family. Moments later, she allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and began attacking him.

Attempted Stabbing to the Neck

According to the victim, Morris struck him several times in the face and then tried to stab him in the neck. He managed to block the attack with his arm, suffering serious defensive wounds to his left arm and shoulder. Police described the victim as being in fear for his life during the attack.

Emergency responders treated the victim at the scene and then transported him to Gettysburg Hospital for further medical care.

Blood and Weapon Recovered from Scene

Investigators said the trailer’s kitchen showed signs of a violent struggle, with a large amount of blood found throughout the area. The knife used in the attack was later recovered from a silverware drawer, suggesting Morris tried to hide the weapon after the incident.

During questioning, Morris reportedly admitted to detectives that she had “put the knife up to the victim” before placing it back in the drawer. However, based on the victim’s injuries and the blood evidence, police say the attack was far more violent than Morris admitted.

Charges and Court Appearance

Morris is facing the following charges:

Attempted homicide

Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon

Simple assault (misdemeanor)

Possession of an instrument of crime with intent to use it

She appeared in court for her initial hearing on Tuesday, where Magisterial District Judge Mark D. Beauchat denied her bail, calling her a “danger to society.” Morris is currently being held at Adams County Prison and is scheduled to return to court for a preliminary hearing on September 10.

This chilling case of domestic violence serves as a stark reminder of how quickly relationships can turn dangerous. The victim narrowly escaped with his life, thanks to quick action and sheer will to defend himself. With Morris now facing serious charges and no bail, the legal system will decide her fate in the coming weeks.
