A heartbreaking case has come to light in Nebraska where a couple is facing criminal charges after the death of their 4-month-old daughter. Police say the father admitted to “playing rough” with the baby, leading to injuries that caused her death. The mother, too, has been charged in connection with the incident.

According to court documents, Ryan Greenwood, 36, was at home with his infant daughter when he admitted to playing roughly with her. His wife, Tanya Greenwood, 28, returned home later and heard what she described as “the worst cry I had ever heard.”

When Ryan checked on her around 11 p.m., he allegedly claimed she was “perfectly fine.” However, by the next morning, the infant was unresponsive and cold to the touch. Ryan then performed CPR before contacting Tanya and calling 911.
