Authorities in Washington State have arrested a 29-year-old man they believe is connected to the June 2025 burglary of rapper Macklemore’s home.
Arrest of Suspect
The suspect, identified as Patrick Maisonet, was taken into custody in Renton, Washington, last month. Seattle police confirmed his arrest, according to local outlets including KOMO News, FOX 13 Seattle, and NBC.
Currently, Maisonet is facing a robbery charge tied to a separate incident in November 2024. While he has not been charged in connection with the Macklemore burglary, police recently named him as a suspect.
Details of the Macklemore Burglary
The burglary took place on June 7, 2025, while Macklemore’s three children — aged 10, 7, and 3 months — were inside the home.
According to police, two suspects broke into the house around 1 a.m. The children’s nanny, who was present, said the intruders attacked her with bear spray before she managed to escape and alert authorities.
She later suggested the burglary might have been politically motivated, as Macklemore has been outspoken in his support for Palestine, both on social media and during concerts.
Recovered Items
During a raid at Maisonet’s pawn shop, investigators reportedly recovered items believed to belong to the Grammy-winning rapper. Among them were:
A custom Sounders MLS Cup ring
A Seattle Seahawks ring
Both items were linked to Macklemore, according to KOMO News.
Other Alleged Connections
Seattle police also suspect Maisonet may be tied to a series of home invasion robberies targeting Seattle-area athletes, though specific details have not been released.
In addition, Maisonet was already wanted for allegedly removing his ankle monitor earlier this year while serving home detention for a 2023 robbery case.
Legal Status
As of now, it remains unclear if Maisonet has entered a plea or secured legal representation. He has not been charged in connection with Macklemore’s burglary but remains under investigation.
The arrest of Patrick Maisonet adds a new twist to the disturbing burglary at Macklemore’s home, where his children and nanny were present during the attack.
With stolen items allegedly traced back to Maisonet’s pawn shop and possible links to other high-profile robberies, the investigation is still unfolding. For now, fans and the community await further updates on whether formal charges will be filed in connection with the Macklemore case.
