Kayvon Warren, 30, is accused of orchestrating the murder of his pregnant ex-girlfriend, India Kinamore, 26, just hours before she was scheduled for induced labor. Warren allegedly enlisted the help of Robert Ervin, 20, and Lamar Morris Suggs, 22, to kill Kinamore on March 4, 2023, in Hamilton County, Ohio.
Warren’s Pre-Murder Actions
According to prosecutors, Warren had requested bereavement leave from his job before the murder, indicating the premeditated nature of his actions.
His alleged motive was desperation for money, as he faced the possibility of losing his home and was in a relationship with another woman. Warren had reportedly asked Kinamore to terminate her pregnancy, but she chose to keep the child.
The Murder
On the day Kinamore was set to be induced, Warren and his accomplices staged her death to look like a burglary. Authorities say that Kinamore was at home with her 6-year-old son when the suspects shot and killed her. The child discovered his mother dying and called his grandmother, stating, “My mommy has been shot.”
Investigation and Arrests
Authorities responded to the scene at approximately 4:40 a.m. on March 4, 2023, and discovered Kinamore’s lifeless body. In the aftermath, Warren, Ervin, and Suggs were arrested and charged with aggravated murder, felonious assault, and burglary.
Warren and Ervin are being held on $600,000 bonds, while Suggs is incarcerated for unrelated charges.
Victim’s Family Reaction
Terri Kinamore, India’s mother, expressed relief after the arrests were made. “I never gave up,” she said. “Now I am able to come back and tell her that the people that did this to her, they have been caught and justice will be served.” Terri described Warren as a “monster” for his role in the tragic death of her daughter.
Prosecutor’s Statement
Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich emphasized the premeditated nature of the crime, pointing out Warren’s request for bereavement leave. “This should have been one of the happiest days of India’s life,” Pillich said. “Instead, the father of the child conspired with two others to kill her.”
