A Florida woman has been arrested after allegedly running over her husband with her car during a violent confrontation, leaving him critically injured, police say.

Woman Accused of Running Over Husband

Authorities identified the suspect as 43-year-old Dugblis Rojas Jimenez. She has been charged with attempted second-degree murder, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, reckless driving causing serious injury, and leaving the scene of a crash.

According to Brevard County court records, Jimenez is being held on a $180,000 bond.

Incident Began at Wawa Store

The events unfolded on Tuesday in Cocoa, Florida, about 45 miles southeast of Orlando. Police say the confrontation started at a Wawa convenience store, where witnesses saw the couple arguing.

During the altercation, the husband reportedly climbed onto the hood of Jimenez’s white sedan. Despite him being on top of the car, Jimenez allegedly drove away at high speed. Witnesses said she swerved left and right, apparently trying to throw him off.

Surveillance Video Captures Harrowing Crash

Surveillance cameras from the Wawa and nearby businesses showed the car leaving the parking lot with the man clinging to the hood. At one point, he slid across the car but climbed back on.

Police say Jimenez then made sharp lane changes, and the victim was eventually thrown off the hood. In the final moments caught on video, the man was seen rolling on the pavement before being run over by the front wheel of the vehicle.

Jimenez’s car crashed into a curb and a traffic device before coming to a stop.

Victim in Critical Condition

The victim was airlifted to Holmes Regional Medical Center, where doctors diagnosed him with a brain bleed and skull fracture. He remains in critical condition.

Police confirmed that Jimenez and the victim are husband and wife.

Suspect Claims She Was “Scared”

When questioned at the hospital, Jimenez requested a lawyer, citing a language barrier. Officers noted that she made “multiple claims that she was scared of the victim.”

Her attorney told the court that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) may place a detainer on her case. Jimenez is scheduled to appear in court again on September 16.

This shocking case of alleged domestic violence has left a Florida man fighting for his life and his wife facing attempted murder charges.

What began as a verbal altercation at a gas station spiraled into a chaotic and violent road incident that ended with life-threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing as both families grapple with the aftermath of the confrontation.
