An Alabama family of four, including two children, was found dead in a suspected murder-suicide on August 14 in Daphne, Baldwin County. The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) responded to the scene after receiving a welfare check call from a family member.
Officers discovered the bodies of 44-year-old Kenneth O’Neil Smith Jr., 41-year-old Larrica Gaines Smith, 15-year-old Khristian Smith, and 11-year-old Kinsley Smith, all of whom had apparent gunshot wounds.

Sheriff Anthony Lowery confirmed that police suspect the deaths were the result of a domestic dispute that escalated tragically. The weapon used in the incident, a handgun, was recovered at the scene.
