Wesley Worl, a 45-year-old Texas man, is facing criminal charges after allegedly approaching two young girls in an elementary school parking lot while dressed in a diaper and wearing a pacifier around his neck. According to local police, Worl confronted the girls on Wednesday outside Andy Woods Elementary School in Tyler, Texas.
Alleged Incident
Police say Worl approached the children, who were riding bikes and scooters in the area, and made disturbing statements.
He allegedly shouted, “Goo goo ga ga, I need a diaper change,” and asked one of the girls, “Will you change my diaper for me?” The girls reportedly fled in fear, with one of them falling and scraping her knees while trying to reach safety.
According to the Tyler Police Department, the children were so terrified that they ran to a nearby resident’s home to report the incident. The girls were described as “visibly shaking” and “truly petrified.” In their statements, they referred to Worl as a “scary man” who was chasing them.
Arrest and Background
After being identified by the girls, Worl was arrested later that day at his place of employment. The arrest affidavit also revealed Worl’s extensive criminal history, which includes charges dating back to 1999 for stalking and inappropriate behavior around children.
In one incident, he was reportedly found with his hand in his shorts, and when questioned, he claimed he was “checking his diaper.”
Legal Consequences
Worl faces charges of criminal solicitation of a minor and criminal trespass in connection with the incident. His previous record and the nature of the crime have raised serious concerns about his behavior.
The case has shocked the local community, prompting calls for increased vigilance around children’s safety. Authorities continue to investigate the incident, with a focus on whether Worl’s actions were part of a pattern of inappropriate behavior.
