A 40-year-old man from Dickinson, Texas, has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a League City Chevron gas station earlier this month. Police say he held a store clerk at gunpoint before fleeing with cash and the clerk’s phone.
The Armed Robbery Incident
The robbery happened on July 18, 2025, between 5:25 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. at the Chevron station located at 151 E FM 646.
According to League City Police, a man wearing a baseball cap, a long-sleeved button-up shirt, and a face mask walked into the store. He went behind the counter, pointed a handgun at the store clerk, and demanded cash from the register.
After the clerk handed over the money, the suspect demanded the clerk’s cell phone before leaving the store.
Suspect’s Escape and Evidence Found
Witnesses saw the suspect leaving in a black Toyota Corolla, heading south on South State Highway 3 toward Dickinson.
The clerk’s phone was later found abandoned near 25th Street and Hill Avenue in Dickinson and collected as evidence.
Investigation and Arrest
Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division reviewed multiple surveillance videos and eventually identified David Longoria as the suspect.
A warrant for his arrest was issued, and on the morning of July 31, 2025, officers from the Special Investigations Unit and patrol teams spotted Longoria driving the same black Toyota Corolla near 19th Street and Avenue D in Dickinson.
He was arrested without incident and is now charged with Aggravated Robbery. Authorities confirmed he is being held without bond.
Thanks to quick investigation and surveillance evidence, police were able to track down the suspect in less than two weeks. The League City Police Department credited teamwork between their detectives and patrol officers for the swift arrest. Longoria will remain in custody as the legal process continues.
