Americans have one final chance to claim a part of the $19 million settlement in the class action lawsuit involving comparison website QuoteWizard. The lawsuit accuses the site of violating the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) by sending unsolicited telemarketing texts to individuals on the National Do Not Call Registry.
If you received multiple telemarketing texts from QuoteWizard within a 12-month period, you may be eligible for a payout from the settlement. No proof of purchase is required, and no forms need to be submitted to claim your share. The payment amount is based on the number of texts you received.
For those who received two texts, the minimum payment is $76. If you received more than two, you will receive $38 for each additional text. The exact amount you will receive will depend on the total number of texts you got and how many class members participate.
The deadline for exclusion or objection is August 5, 2025, and a final approval hearing will take place on September 29, 2025. Anyone eligible who does not opt out will automatically receive their share.
This settlement represents a significant opportunity for those affected by QuoteWizard’s unsolicited texts, ensuring that class members are compensated for the violation of their rights under the TCPA.
Related Settlement: Advance Auto Parts Data Breach Payout
In addition to the QuoteWizard settlement, millions of American motorists are also due for payouts in a separate data breach settlement. Advance Auto Parts has agreed to resolve claims in a class action lawsuit over a data breach involving employee and job applicant information.
While the company has not admitted to wrongdoing, it has agreed to pay an undisclosed amount to settle the case. Eligible individuals have until October to claim up to $5,200 in damages.
Both settlements highlight the importance of being aware of your rights and ensuring you don’t miss out on compensation due to unlawful actions by companies.
