Three men have been arrested for their suspected involvement in the deadly shooting of a Nevada man last month in Garland, Texas. The incident happened in the early hours of June 20 in the parking lot of a local motel. Police have charged all three suspects with capital murder.

Who Were the Suspects?

The Garland Police Department announced that the three suspects now face serious charges and are being held in the Dallas County Jail.

Jose Luis Trivino-Cruz, 35, is charged with capital murder, aggravated robbery, and indecent assault. His total bond is set at $3.255 million.

Jesus De Nazareth Bellorin-Guzman, 23, faces charges of capital murder and aggravated robbery. His bond is $2.25 million.

Yosguar Aponte Jimenez, 20, is also charged with capital murder and is being held on a $1.5 million bond.

Victim Identified as Santiago Lopez Morales

The victim was 48-year-old Santiago Lopez Morales, a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada. The shooting occurred at around 5:15 a.m. on June 20 in the parking lot of a motel located on the 12700 block of LBJ Freeway in Garland.

Morales was rushed to a nearby hospital in North Texas but sadly did not survive.

Linked to Another Robbery

According to investigators, two of the suspects were involved in a separate robbery earlier that same morning at a different motel. This helped detectives connect the dots and link all three individuals to the fatal shooting.
