The location sits between Galveston’s cruise terminals and is a short 10-minute walk from the city’s popular Strand District, making it an ideal spot for visitors.

Originally launched in 1912, the USS Texas served proudly in both world wars. Today, she is the only surviving battleship from that era. After being towed in 2022 to a shipyard operated by Gulf Copper on Pelican Island, the ship has been undergoing a complete steel hull rebuild and full restoration.
