Joshua Blaine Pritchett, the former City Manager of La Marque, was arrested on Saturday in the Dallas area after several days of evading authorities.
Pritchett, aged 36, had been wanted on multiple warrants, including serious charges such as first-degree felony arson, third-degree felony tampering with physical evidence, and a misdemeanor for filing a false report to a peace officer.
Charges Against Pritchett
In addition to the criminal charges, Pritchett is accused of falsely claiming military service and providing misleading information about educational degrees he never received. These lies added to the already serious charges he faced.
Pritchett had resigned from his position as La Marque’s City Manager on July 7, and shortly after, authorities initiated a search for him. His arrest on Saturday brought an end to days of searching.
Transport to Galveston County Jail
Following his arrest, Pritchett is expected to be transported to the Galveston County Jail, where he will face the multiple charges against him. His arrest marks the conclusion of an intense search by law enforcement authorities.
The La Marque Fire Department confirmed the arrest and the charges, though no further details have been released regarding the investigation.
