An Ohio man, Seth Schlueter, 30, has been indicted for a road rage incident that escalated into a violent confrontation, leaving a woman and her family terrorized in their own home.

Schlueter was arrested on several charges, including aggravated burglary, burglary, assault, and endangering children. His actions on July 11, 2024, led to a terrifying sequence of events for the victim and her family.

The Road Rage Incident

The incident began on State Route 727 near the Stonelick Park Dam, about 35 miles northeast of Cincinnati. Schlueter, while driving, reportedly stopped his vehicle in the middle of the road.

A woman, who was traveling behind him, honked her horn as she maneuvered around his car. This apparently upset Schlueter, who did not take kindly to the honking.

Escalation to Violence

Shortly after, Schlueter allegedly followed the woman to her home on Lair Road in Wayne Township. Around 5:30 p.m., sheriff’s deputies responded to a call about a confrontation on the front porch of the house.

Schlueter, who was suspected of being intoxicated, reportedly confronted the woman’s husband. In response, the woman fled to the back of the property, possibly in fear for her safety.

Her husband attempted to calm the situation but soon retreated to the back of the house as well. Schlueter, who had his children with him in the car, then allegedly removed them and approached the house. What happened next would escalate the situation even further.

The Burglary and Assault

Schlueter, without permission, entered the home and caused property damage. When the homeowners returned to the front of the house, they found Schlueter inside.

According to authorities, Schlueter struck the male victim in the face before fleeing the scene with his children. The victim received minor injuries but declined further medical treatment.

Schlueter was arrested later that evening at a nearby convenience store, and he was taken into custody without incident. However, despite multiple charges, many of them were dismissed. The prosecution now seems focused on pursuing only the aggravated burglary charge.

Legal Consequences and Upcoming Court Appearance

Schlueter is currently being held in the Clermont County Jail with a bond set at $200,000. He is scheduled to appear in court on August 1, 2025, to face the remaining charge of aggravated burglary.

This disturbing road rage incident shows how quickly a simple confrontation can escalate into violence, especially when intoxication and a lack of control come into play.

Schlueter’s actions left the victim’s family shaken, but the situation could have been even worse had the confrontation gone further. The case will continue to unfold in court as Schlueter faces the consequences of his actions.
