League City water customers now have a more convenient way to pay their bills with the recent redesign of the city’s online utility billing portal. The upgrade, which launched in mid-June, streamlines the payment process and adds several new features to make managing water bills easier.
Key Features of the New Portal
The redesigned portal offers several benefits to residents, including:
Comparison of Water Usage: Users can now compare their water consumption from year to year.
Quick Pay & Recurring Payments: The portal allows for one-time payments through quick pay or the option to set up recurring credit card payments for added convenience.
Billing Statements: Users can easily view and print their billing statements at any time.
Water Tracker: A new feature links to a water tracker, which helps users monitor their water usage closely.
To access the new portal, users will need their account number and customer number, both of which can be found on their utility bill.
Changes in Water and Wastewater Rates
Earlier this year, League City residents saw an increase in their water and wastewater rates. In January, the City Council approved higher rates to help fund essential system improvements.
The base monthly service charge for standard residential water meters increased from $8.26 to $9.08, and wastewater charges rose from $15.32 to $16.84.
The newly redesigned online billing portal offers League City residents an easier and more efficient way to manage their water bills. With the added features, customers can monitor their usage, set up recurring payments, and stay on top of their billing statements.
The city’s decision to increase rates earlier this year helps fund necessary upgrades to the water and wastewater systems, ensuring continued service and improvements.
